If you reduce your cpu right back for battery life then you will get alot more mileage. I often wonder how some are getting 6 plus hours battery life on the x17. Others like JustIN tech tips are getting over 13,000 even with the i7 (he’s getting like 13,880 which insane). Lastly, I got a cinebench R23 multi-core score of 12,600. Anyone else experiencing this with similar build? I saw this YouTube JustIN tech tips was apparently able to get 9 hours with light browsing (he has the i7, 3080 version with 4K UHD). However, I’m still not getting more than 1 hour and 30 mins at the most while doing some light browsing on the internet. It doesn’t thermal throttle if I use the full speed fan mode tho but I’d be worried about fan longevity if I’m going to have to use the full speed mode every time I game to avoid thermal throttling (don’t care about the noise).Īlso tested out the battery life by turning off the rgb lighting, lowering screen brightness all the way down, changing screen refresh rate to 60hz, and turning on the battery saver profiles for the fans and battery. Tested out Resident Evil Village and the GPU thermal throttles if I use the performance mode fan mode (stays stuck at 83C) clock speeds went down to around 1500mHz. Been testing out my Alienware X17 with the i9-11980HK, RTX 3080, 32gb ram XMP, 4K 120hz.
